Tragedy struck the small town of St. Bernard in Southern Leyte on Feb 18, 2006
when a massive mudslide buried more than a thousand innocent people. GK's Kalinga Leyte was
immediately launched to help those in need. Learn more about the tragedy and how

- In November 2004, four typhoons ravaged the
Philippines. After the floods had receded thousands were left
homeless. Gawad Kalinga together with it's
partners launched a daring multi-sectoral project called
Kalinga Luzon. It's goal, to build 40,000 homes for the
poor left homeless.
